The Westminster Street village is home to a number of little shops including; Tall Grass Bakery, Yoga North, a great shoe cobbler, the Shoe Doctor, a couple of light fare eateries, two fantastic bookstores, a shaker style furniture maker, a wool & yarn shop and a small organic grocery called Organic Planet. 

A short walk over the Maryland bridge to Academy Road and you will find a more diverse and lively array of shops and services including; a selection of retail shops, an assortment of fine dining restaurants for the discerning palette, (Pizzeria Gusto, Close Company and Maque) as well as many physicians offices.

The posh promenade has long epitomized elegant charm, with clusters of locally-owned shops, character homes and century-old trees lining the street. 

Drink specialty tea or java from around the globe at Cornelia Bean. Shelves are stocked with loose teas, like rare tung ting oolong, grown in Vietnam, and freshly roasted coffee beans.

The W.A.G. is another destination not to be missed. Whether its Canadiana, Inuit, Decorative Art or beautifully curated exhibits on loan from collaborating International collections, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Armstrong's Point or 'The Gates', as it is lovingly called, is a designated historical heritage site and it is easy to understand why with its gracious older homes, stately century-old trees and park-like feel, is a treasured urban oasis for over 80 families.

It is very convenient to public transport, near to supermarket, hospital, restaurants and other places of interest. The designer-interior of the place is very warm and we feel at home very much.
